Add your first car
The add-car flow walks you through model, generation, variant, transmission, colour, purchase details and photos. Only the model and generation are strictly needed; everything else can be filled in later.
What each step is for
- Model and generation: picks your car out of the registry, which brings the right specifications, service intervals and known issues with it.
- Variant and transmission: the choices are filtered to what was actually offered for that generation, so you cannot pick an impossible combination.
- Colour: the Porsche catalogue for your generation, including Paint to Sample.
- Purchase date, price and mileage: used for running costs and the experience fee. Price is never public.
- Photos: optional at this point. You can add them whenever you like.
While you finish the steps, a portrait of your car is drawn in the background so the car has a picture from day one. Replace it with a real photo later from the gallery.
A car is public by default. Set it to private in car settings if you would rather keep it to yourself.
