1987 928 S4

Purchased in 2024 from an estate near Philadelphia. The original owner had been in the process of completing a timing belt, water pump, and other general maintenance when he unfortunately passed away. Since I also own a 1985 928 S3, I was already very familiar with the mechanical and electrical workings of the 928, which made taking on this car a much easier decision. These are great, underappreciated cars that offer an incredible driving experience for the money. That said, ownership isn't for everyone. If you aren't able or willing to tackle at least some of the maintenance yourself—especially the long list of items that have typically been neglected over the years—you can go broke pretty quickly paying someone else to sort everything out. But when they're properly maintained and sorted, a 928 is an incredibly rewarding car to own and drive.
