Somewhere in the middle of watching Risky Business, I got curious about the prices of 928s. Quick scrolling on my phone and, as the internet does, a 968 pops up in the list of 928s for sale. I suddenly remembered test driving a 968 back around 1993. And another night standing on a deserted after-hours Porsche lot staring at a brand new 968 around 1992. A couple message boards, a casual phone call, and 2 weeks later I was driving a near pristine Guards Red 1992 Porsche 968 home from Dallas to the Florida Gulf Coast. My first Porsche sports car. I learned alot about owning a vintage sports car. I'm embarrassed to say it, but she was a bit of a garage queen. She was too beautiful, too perfect, too treasured to drive. I regret selling her. But four years later, I sold her for 40% more than I bought her and rolled the money - along with a bunch more - into my first 911. A dream realized! But, oh how I loved the lines of that 968...
