1999 986 Boxster 2.5

I bought her in September of 2025. She is my first (and likely only) Porsche. After less than 1000 miles of ownership, the Tiptronic transmission failed, in May of 2026, and was replaced with a similar mileage gearbox at that time (see the photos). Her condition now? The spoiler is stuck in the "up" position, but otherwise, she's fully functional and drives beautifully. She has new brakes and tires, and a perfect Tiptronic transmission. The engine runs beautifully, and is quite strong. I had the AOS replaced when the transmission was done (but not the IMS - mechanic said there was no reason to do it on the 2.5 with the mileage it had on it). The next service will see the coil packs, plugs, and serpentine belt replaced. Cosmetically, she is beautiful. She has an excellent interior, with very little wear anywhere, and she has pretty red new top. I have replaced the stock Porsche radio with a Pioneer head unit. Car history is that she had spent most of her life in Hollywood, California. I found her on a Porsche specialty dealer's lot last August, and after a few test drives (thank you, John!) and some procrastinating (do I want a manual or an automatic, and what am I giving up with an automatic?), I pulled the trigger on September 28, and drove her home.
