2005 987.1B Boxster S

My Boxster is a Stuttgart-built 2005 987.1 Boxster S, finished in Arctic Silver Metallic over Full Leather Terracotta with a six-speed manual transmission. The Full Leather interior was one of the things that immediately attracted me to the car. The Terracotta extends well beyond the seats to most of the visible interior, including the dashboard, instrument binnacle, upper door panels and leather seat backs. Combined with Arctic Silver, it gives the car a distinctive specification that I particularly enjoy. The car was originally sold in Atlanta, Georgia, in May 2005. It later came to Canada and was purchased by its second owner in Montreal, Quebec, in May 2012. Its third owner purchased it in Ottawa, Ontario, in July 2021, and I purchased it from him in September 2025. It remains largely stock. The principal changes are a full Fabspeed exhaust system, wheel spacers and 19-inch wheels. The previous owner was meticulous about maintenance and invested approximately $14,000 in the car, all supported by receipts. Since purchasing it, I have continued that approach and invested approximately another $4,000 in preventative maintenance and servicing. A recent borescope inspection was clean, and Blackstone oil analyses have also produced very good results. At roughly 139,000 kilometres, this isn’t a garage queen and I don’t intend to turn it into one. When the weather is good, I drive it regularly and will occasionally use it as my daily driver. What I enjoy most about the car is the combination of the early 987 driving experience and its specification: naturally aspirated flat-six, six-speed manual, hydraulic steering, compact dimensions and an unusually rich leather interior. I appreciate the car for what it is, but I don’t believe in preserving it simply for the next owner. It’s a machine, not a Picasso. My goal is to maintain it properly, preserve its character and condition, add miles to it, and enjoy driving it for many years to come.
