    Known issues to look for

    • 12V battery drain / no-start

      critical

Car will not wake, HV system will not power on, dead 12V.

Keep on a maintainer if parked, apply the 2022 software update.

    • Software glitches / OTA rollbacks

      minor

PCM freezes, charging screens fail to advance, phantom warnings.

Keep firmware current; hard reset if UI freezes.

    • Front-axle motor bearing whine

      moderate

Whine from front end at 40–60 mph that changes with load.

Have the front motor inspected — covered under drivetrain warranty on many cars.

    • HV charger port latch failure

      moderate

Charge cable will not release, port door will not open.

Manual release cable is documented; replace latch mechanism.

    • Tire wear (rear axle)

      minor

Rear tires wearing at ~15k miles due to weight and torque.

Rotate every 5–7k miles, keep pressures at spec, avoid launch mode abuse.
